A geologist talks about the Japan earthquake.

Quakes and fakes – The Panda’s Thumb.

I would expect a quick evaluation of the future operation of any power plant after a 0.3g earthquake.  These are not normal operating conditions for any power system, building, or other commercial structure.

Of course, I am not an expert on Japanese power plant design standards.

This is a pretty good ale.  Even though It has 9.3% alcohol by volume the first one went down pretty smooth.  Og course i have been pretty happy with the annual Widmer W beers.

This was available in 12 oz. bottles at Fred Meyer’s in Federal Way.
